Who can use the Library?

  • Students: All students of Mahila Mahavidyalya Ratnagiri are members of the Central Library.
  • Faculty and Staff: All faculty and non-teaching staff of Mahila Mahavidyalya Ratnagiri College are members.
  • Visiting Faculty: Visiting faculty may use the Central Library.

Note: Use of the library is strictly reserved for readers possessing a library borrower's Card.

Renewal of Books

A book may be re-issued twice if it is not in demand.

  • Report loss of the reader’s borrower's Card to the library immediately.
  • A duplicate reader’s borrower's Card will be issued after payment of Rs.30/- Fines
  • A fine of Rs.5/- per day will be charged if books, projects, or CDs are not returned on the due date.

Reference Material Not to Be Lent Out

  • Question Papers

Question paper sets are reference materials and may be issued for one hour for Xeroxing. A fine of Rs.20/- per day per paper set will be charged if not returned the same day.

  • A borrower must replace a lost book.
  • If unable to replace within a month from the due date, the borrower must pay the cost of the book.
  • Repeated loss or damage of books will lead to being debarred from using the library.

Question paper sets are reference materials and may be issued for one hour for Xeroxing. A fine of Rs.20/- per day per paper set will be charged if not returned the same day.

  • Last Year Students (BCA III): Must return all borrowed library books and clear dues before Term-End. They should deposit their Identity card, lanyard, and Borrower’s Ticket for “No Dues”.
  • Other Members: Must return all borrowed books and clear dues before Term-End.

  • Mobile devices must remain in silent mode.
  • Observe silence and decorum.
  • Tampering with materials or theft will result in immediate suspension and disciplinary measures.
  • The library retains the right to revoke membership for misconduct or inappropriate behavior.
  • Report any damages to library resources without delay.
  • Violation of rules may lead to loss of membership rights.
  • Identity cards are mandatory in the reading hall.
  • Library regulations are subject to change as needed.

  • Usage: Digital resources are for educational and research purposes only. Do not share login details.
  • Conduct: Unauthorized access, hacking, or excessive downloading is prohibited. Respect copyright laws and licensing agreements.
